App and developer
This Privacy Policy explains how the developer publishing as GozaGames handles information in Sudoku by Rogie, the Android application with package name com.rogie.sudoku (the App).
You can play Sudoku without creating an account. Puzzle generation and normal gameplay work offline. Watching an advertisement to earn a hint or continue a failed puzzle is optional and requires internet access.
Information stored on your device
The App stores your display name or nickname, preferences, saved puzzle, game history, and game statistics on your device. This includes puzzle contents, difficulty, completion status, elapsed time, mistakes, and hints used. It uses this information to greet you, resume games, show history and statistics, and suggest puzzles to replay. Privacy choices may also be saved by Google's consent tools.
We do not operate a server that receives your display name, puzzle boards, saved games, or game history. The App does not include Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or a developer-operated analytics service. When first opened, it asks what you would like to be called; you can use a nickname or keep the default name. Your display name is saved on your device and is not sent to AdMob by our game code. The App does not require your real name or ask for your email address, contacts, precise GPS location, camera access, or microphone access to play.
Android may back up or transfer some app data according to your operating system, device settings, and Google account settings. We do not operate that backup service. Previously backed-up data may be restored when you reinstall the App or move to another device.
Optional rewarded advertisements
The App uses Google AdMob to offer rewarded advertisements when you request a hint or choose to continue a failed puzzle. The selected reward is granted only when Google's SDK reports that you earned it. If an ad is unavailable or you close it before earning the reward, no hint or continue is granted. You can keep playing without the hint, or restart a failed puzzle without watching an ad.
Google's advertising SDK may collect and share your device's IP address, which can indicate approximate location; ad and app interactions; performance and diagnostic information; and device or account identifiers, including an Android advertising ID or app set ID where available. The information processed depends on your privacy choices, device settings, region, and the advertising configuration.
Google uses advertising information to deliver and measure ads, analyze performance, and prevent fraud. We may receive advertising performance reports through AdMob. Our own game code does not send your puzzle boards or history to AdMob. The SDK's collection is separate from the puzzle data stored by the game.
For Google's handling of information, see Google's Privacy Policy, Google's advertising information, and the SDK's data disclosure. Advertisements may link to third-party websites or apps whose privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Privacy choices
The App requests an update from Google's User Messaging Platform after you choose an optional rewarded hint or continue, or open Ad privacy choices. Before requesting an ad, it presents any required privacy message and checks whether Google's consent tools permit the request. Normal startup and gameplay do not start these requests through our game code. Choosing either an ad or privacy-management action contacts Google even if you do not complete an advertisement. Once started for an optional ad, Google's advertising SDK may continue processing information during that app session, including after you return to the puzzle.
Ad privacy choices remains available in the App's Options, including after restarting. Opening it updates privacy information and shows Google's privacy-options form when one is required. It does not request an advertisement. Android's advertising settings also let you reset or delete your advertising ID. Choosing not to watch an ad does not prevent you from playing puzzles.
Retention and deletion
Saved puzzles and game history remain on your device until you remove them. In Options > Data > Reset Saved Data & History, you can delete saved progress and history after confirming. That action does not reset every preference or delete information already processed by Google.
To remove locally stored preferences and consent settings as well, use Android's app settings to clear the App's storage or uninstall it. Android backups may have their own retention and deletion controls and may restore some app data later.
Google controls retention and deletion of information it processes through its services; clearing local app data does not necessarily delete that information. Use the Google privacy links and controls above, or contact us about a privacy request. Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include, such as attachments. We use this to answer and manage your request. We normally retain routine support correspondence for up to 12 months after the request is resolved, so we can respond to related follow-up questions. We then delete it from our support mailbox and any separate support copies we keep. We may retain specific correspondence longer when required by law or necessary to resolve an ongoing dispute, and delete it when that need ends.
Security and international processing
App data is stored in the App's private Android storage. Google states that information collected by its advertising SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Google and providers involved in delivering advertisements may process information in countries other than your own. Google's privacy information explains its international data-handling practices.
Children and intended audience
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to or marketed to children or teenagers under 18.
If you believe someone under 18 has sent personal information to GozaGames, please contact rogiegoza@gmail.com so we can review the request and address information under our control.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the App or its privacy practices change. The published policy will show its effective date, and we will provide any additional notice or consent required for material changes.
For privacy questions or requests, contact rogiegoza@gmail.com and include the App's name. We do not receive your local puzzle files unless you choose to send them to us.
